Disney has officially scheduled Star Wars - Episode VII for December 18, 2015. Not a bad release date, and it opens things up for Disney in the holiday season. 2015 is starting to get big again with this, Jurassic World, the Terminator reboot, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Batman vs. Superman all scheduled for that year along with this. J.J Abrams is directing, and the movie will shoot next Spring. Warcraft is currently scheduled for the same date (a computer game adaptation), but will likely move.
In a wise move, Disney has moved Brad Bird's Tomorrowland to May 22, 2015. Had it stayed in 2014, Tomorrowland would have had to compete against the final Hobbit movie and the 3rd Night at the Musuem for older families. Tomorrowland will have to face the fourth weekend of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Paramount's Monster Trucks the following weekend, but its' certainly less competition than the Holidays of 2014, which now doesn't look as crowded with Hobbit 3, Night at the Museum 3, Annie and Into the Woods still on the slate (Minions moved to July 2015 after the slate got too crowded).
Disney also has the Cinderella remake, The Good Dinosaur, and Marvel's Ant-Man on their 2015 calendar.
