Thanksgiving Weekend Box Office Predictions, 2019.

Overall business will look to fall short of Thanksgiving weekend last year, which featured Ralph Breaks the Internet ($84 million) and Creed 2 ($56 million) topping.

I'm leaving this post a little short due to a busy schedule this week. Frozen 2 will easily remain #1, though Rian Johnson's Knives Out looks to be a strong contender for second. Strong reviews and an appealing cast and premise (along with a strong marketing effort) should lead to a five-day launch near $25 million, if not higher. Queen and Slim looks to have a more muted start, though strong critical reception and a unique feel may help it reach the high end of its $10 million expectations.

Look for holdovers (especially PG-rated family fare) to hold very strong with kids out of school Wednesday and Thursday.

Here's the projected Top 10 for the three-day and five-day weekends:

3-day:

#1: Frozen 2 ($58 million, -55%)
#2: Knives Out ($19 million)
#3: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood ($11 million, -19%)
#4: Ford v. Ferrari ($10 million, -38%)
#5: Queen and Slim ($7 million)
#6: 21 Bridges ($5.5 million, -40%)
#7: Playing with Fire ($3.75 million, -19%)
#8: Midway ($3.5 million, -26%)
#9: The Good Liar ($2.5 million, -27%)
#10: Last Christmas ($2.2 million, -27%)
        Joker ($2.2 million, -22%)

5-day:
