Weekend Box Office Predictions for September 6-8, 2019

The fall season is starting up, and the season is now getting used to starting on a high note with a horror flick. Two years ago, it was It breaking the September record, last year being The Nun earning more than $50 million. This time, its' the anticipated sequel It: Chapter 2, which looks to fall short of its' predecessors' $123 million debut.

However, tracking is still very strong, with all signs pointing to a debut around the century mark. That would still be huge by all means.

Meanwhile, holdovers from August will be fighting for scraps, here's the predicted Top 10:

#4: The Lion King ($3.75 million, -42%)
#5: Overcomer ($3.5 million, -38%)
#6: Hobbs and Shaw ($3.25 million, -50%)
#7: Ready or Not ($3 million, -48%)
#8: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark ($2.5 million, -50%)
#9 (tie): Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ($2.25 million, -45%)
#9 (tie): Dora and the Lost City of Gold ($2.25 million, -45%)
#9 (tie): The Angry Birds Movie 2 ($2.25 million, -47%)
