Hi everyone. Before I discuss my personal Top 10 list of 2016, I would like to talk about which movies were the biggest ones of the year domestically and worldwide. We're going to start with the United States:


#10: Doctor Strange

Opening Weekend: $85,000,000
Projected Domestic Final Gross: $232,000,000

Worldwide Top 10 Movies of the Year (as of 12/30):

#1: Captain America: Civil War ($1.153 billion)
#2: Finding Dory ($1.028 billion)

Overall business for the year is expected to finish at $11.38 billion, a new record, edging out last year's $11.13 billion finish. In comparison to last year, overall ticket sales are projected to be the exact same (1,320 million).

For studios, here's how the studios wound up this year (NOTE: This is only through December 18):
