Welcome to the new Movies Taken Seriously! :)

The blog is back up and running! And I must say, its looking even better than ever!

I am changing some rules regarding this blog now. For reviews, I am retiring the Family-Friendliness Scale in favor of just listing problematic content details at the end of each review. I also will be posting one review each month of a movie not in theaters, but either one I've rented or one I own that I believe needs to be "written out". I now have a grading system description on the right side of the blog, so you can make judgments for yourself based on the descriptions I give for each grade.

As usual, I will have box office predictions up on Thursday nights and weekend reports on Sundays (or on Monday mornings). Movie reviews can be released soon after or a month or two after a movie I see comes out (dependent on my timing). I do not see every movie that comes to the theater (not even close), as I usually choose to see primarily PG or G-rated movies (I do see and review some PG-13 movies, but those that are peer-recommended or encouraged by sites such as Plugged-inCommon Sense Media, and other Christian-based and family-based sites).

Once a month, I will try to do an "opinion" post based on my perspective of the industry, and every once in a while, I will cover any movie-related news story that excites me.

Because this is a family-friendly blogsite, I do not attach posters to my posts that either are graphic, scary or hint at anything obscene, lewd, inappropriate or profane. I also will censor titles (***) that use (or hint at) anything profane, lewd or inappropriate for family viewing.

Please understand that being a college student, I am not always up to par with keeping up on this blog. If I don't post something in time or at a specific time I said I would post it, please be gracious and patient. Thank you for your cooperation! :)
